MIA’s active school community is always buzzing. We ensure that students always have a wide range of social and academic opportunities throughout the year. Our events and activities encourage students to get to know each other, make new friends, and familiarize themselves with Canadian culture. In addition, we offer tons of clubs which nurture student’s interests and help them gain valuable pre-requisites necessary for university or college applications.

OUR HOUSE SYSTEM
All students and staff belong to one of four houses at MIA: Red, Yellow, Blue and Green. Throughout the year each house earns points by participating in a variety of competitions and challenges until finally a champion team is crowned in June. Not only do these challenges promote friendly competition and school spirit, it also allows students, teachers and staff an opportunity to form unique bonds and new relationships with each other.

Each year during MIA’s Graduation Ceremony in June, awards are given out to recognize exceptional students who have excelled in a specific subject are and/or greatly contributed to our school community in a positive manner. These awards serve as a reminder of all the hard work and effort put in by our students during the school year.

- The Governor’s General Award – A Prestigious Ontario-wide Award given to the student who achieves the highest Academic Excellence during the school year.
